Practical and Ethical Guidance for Drafting Directives in Advance of End-of-Life:
In this fourth installment of Tzohar Ad 120’s English- language online programs, we will again welcome Prof. Charles Sprung, who has spent decades treating terminally-ill patients as a world-renowned expert in intensive and end-of-life care, in conversation with renowned medical ethicist Rabbi Yuval Cherlow.
This session will delve into the very practical sides of preparing for end-of-life and specifically how to draft advanced directives that are both legally binding and medically applicable for when a patient nears death and is unable to make those critical decisions on ones own.
Rabbi Cherlow will address the issue from the ethical and halachic perspectives, highlighting the relevant parameters for drafting advanced directives through the lens of Jewish thought and responsa.
